Serving the Orphans & Pastors in Mexico

Doug & Kari Romey

Doug and Kari Romey founded Deeper Water Ministries in 2010 shortly after God called them to full time missions.  Doug was previously a full time Pastor and Kari ran their small chain of Coffee Shoppes along with a Coffee Roasting company.  They have 4 children, Olivia (now married to Devon Groner), Amelia, Corbin & Maya.

They have spent the last 4 years living in Mexico where they have focused on Orphan Care, Feeding the Poor and Hosting Missions teams.  Their heart beats to share the hope and love of Christ with the lost, poor and fatherless.

Associate Missionary

Cameron Talbot

Cameron has a heart for missions in Mexico. Originally from Corydon, Indiana, he graduated from Campbellsville University with a B.A. in Spanish and Christian Missions.

After living for a year in Ciudad Guzman where he taught English at Cambridge Institute, he is now moving to Chapala to work with Deeper Water Ministries as a Missionary Intern.

His desire is to see orphaned children encounter the love of Jesus and find a home with their Heavenly Father and community.

Missionary Intern

Sarah Vacala

Sarah fell in love with the people of Mexico during a short term missions trip in the summer of 2017.  She is from Fremont, Indiana and will complete her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Trine University in the spring of 2019.

It has been her life long dream  to share God's love through missions and she is excited and blessed to be working with Deeper Water Ministries.
